| The Fort is situated on a 500 feet high hill, on a rocky plateau. The 700 acre fort went through three sieges, and each time Chittor turned out the loser. But that did not mean that the fort was substandard to any other in Rajasthan. There are so many attractions which attract the visitors easily. The main gate of the fort is situated on the eastern side and is famous with the name Surajpol. The main attractive places of within the boundaries of the fort are the two towers known as the Kirti Stambh and the Vijay Stambh They are also known by the name Tower of Fame and tower of Victory. |

| Vijay stambh -Chittorgarh |
| Vijay Stambh was built by Maharana Kumbha and it has nine stories to memorialize his victory over the rulers of Malwa and Gujarat in 1440.There is an exterior wall of the tower which is the main attraction of that tower. There are appx.. 157 narrow steps leading to the terrace where the balconies give a beautiful top angle view of the whole town. |
