| Jaisalmer fort is the second oldest fort in the state of Rajasthan. The Jaisalmer Fort towers to a prominent height atop the Trikuta Hills. The fort was construced by yellow sandstone which makes it appear a part of the sandy region. The fort was built by Rai Jaisala in the year 1156 when he felt that his capital at Lodurva km was susceptible to foreign hostility. These days, a number of merchants and owners of the shop occupied in the Fort living within its walls. Small, twisting lanes are peppered with houses, temples, and shops. The fort towers accompanied by golden expanses of the desert town of Jaisalmer .The fort has 99 bastions that make it even more protective. During 1633-47 some bastions weres erected that were 92 in numbers.

| For tourist it is a very good experience to visit Jain Temple in Jaisalmer. Jain Temple was built in between 12 th to 15 th century. These temples have been held in admiration all over India and its history are equally compelling Jaisalmar is situated on the Camel Caravan route, for this reason many Jains were involved in business with many holding a key position. There is also a library which contain some manuscript situated inside the Temple .
