Introduction:

Mukundgarh derives its name from its founder, Raja Mukund Singh, who built the fort in the 18th century. The fort is famous for its wonderful frescoes, which adorn the wall of this sturdy building reminding the glorious past it once witnessed. Hardly 250 kms from the capital of India,Delhi, is the magic of the Shekhavati region,It has a good handicrafts market and the Jhunjhunwala haveli with stories of Krishna and Sukhdev.

History:

Mukundgarh is Found by Raja Muknd Singh in the mid 18th century , Mukandgarh today boasts of the finest frescoes of the Shekhawati Region which is commonly called the "Open Air Art Gallery of Rajasthan".Its proximity to the two cities of the famous golden triangle, Delhi and Jaipur has also made it a popular destination as a weekend getaway.
